Out reach programmes
Pratheeksha is conducting many outreach programmes in public, especially in the schools of two districts: Kannur and Kasargod.
Awareness programmes
Pratheeksha is conducting different awareness programme in schools, Parishes, club, parents, school teachers and youth. And all these programmes are conducted to aware the people about the evil of alcoholism and other substance abuse.
We are conducting awareness programmes in schools especially for students who are studying from 5th to plus two. We are conducting life guidance courses and career guidance classes to the students. And we have many programmes in different colleges. Our team is providing counseling for students and taking awareness classes for students. Main topics given for the students: substance abuse, how to study and prepare for exam, life skills, sexual education, personality development etc.
We have many programmes in different church organizations. And we conduct different classes, group discussion, and family counseling for the people. Main topics given for the people: alcohol and other substance abuse, good parenting and women development.
Our team is conducting different programmes for parents’ especially different motivating class for parents in different schools and in different groups and in publics. We are providing awareness and counseling service to the alcoholic persons and drug addicts.
Follow-up Programmes
It is the gathering of communion, or fellowship of ex-addicts who share their experiences, expectations, gains, strength, weakness and happiness in life. There are many such gatherings organized by Pratheeksha at the center on 1st Sunday of every month, and also at different zones in Kannur and Kasargod districts.
Our team members also visit the homes of ex-addicts to know about their sober life and family situations and also to give counseling, guidance and directions.
The staff continues to follow the client through phone even after the treatment as possible as we can.
